GACC: Protecting IPR to promote foreign trade growth

Recently, the General Administration of Customs in China launched Several Measures on Promoting the Steady Growth of Foreign Trade, providing that proper intellectual property protection would be fostered to encourage corporate innovations so as to stabilize the increment of foreign trade.

Those Measures also proposed recommendations on supporting the development of cross-border online business, improving the management mechanism on corporate credit recorded in customs system, and standardizing import and export procedures, among others.

An official from the Administration said that the Measures attached great importance to the creation of a sound development environment, which would play a positive role in promoting the upgrading of trade structure in China.
