Hangzhou Intellectual Property Arbitration Court set up

Set up on August 13, Hangzhou Intellectual Property Arbitration Court will focus on hearing arbitration cases involved with contract disputes in this regard, including disputes of industrial property, copyright and other technology trades.

The most visited online marketplaces Alibaba and Taobao were confronted with 7 million IPR disputes, 50 times that handled by executive branches and courts at all levels.

The industry of such electronic products as cellphone, digital camera and MP3 is the hot zone where IPR disputes happen. The purchase or sale of copycat products is just a kind of IPR violation.

Besides courts, arbitration is now another way out.

The decisions made by arbitration and court are equally valid. There are no level and jurisdictional limitations. The decision delivered by arbitration authorities is both domestically and internationally valid, which is subject to recognition and enforcement in all 144 contracting countries of New York Convention.
